What Therapy
Feels Like
Together
Therapy with me is a space to slow down, make sense of your inner world, and explore the patterns that may be keeping you stuck. Together, we look beneath the surface of symptoms, conflict, or coping strategies to understand the emotions, experiences, and protective parts underneath.
My approach is collaborative and compassionate. I aim to create a space where you feel supported enough to be honest, curious enough to explore, and safe enough to work through what feels painful or overwhelming. Whether you’re navigating trauma, shame, relationship struggles, grief, or life transitions, our work is about building deeper self-understanding, emotional resilience, and more meaningful connection, with yourself and with others.
I work relationally, experientially, and depth-oriented, while integrating practical skills. I help clients understand not just what they do, but why.
Therapy with me is active and engaged. You are not speaking into a void.
Working
Together
We’ll start by understanding what’s bringing you in and what you’re hoping for from therapy. From there, our work becomes a collaborative process of exploring what feels most important, building insight, and developing practical ways to navigate what’s happening in your life.
Sessions may include emotional processing, reflection, and skill-building, depending on your needs and goals. The aim is to support greater clarity, steadiness, and more flexible ways of responding to yourself, your relationships, and the challenges you’re facing.
You don’t need to have it all figured out, you just need a starting place.
-
A consultation is a chance for us to connect, talk about what’s bringing you in, and explore what you’re hoping for in therapy. It’s also an opportunity to ask questions and get a sense of whether working together feels like the right fit.
-
Yes. I offer both virtual and in-person counselling through my Vancouver, British Columbia and Port Moody, British Columbia locations. You can choose the booking option that best fits your schedule and preferences.
-
You don’t need to be in crisis or have everything figured out to start therapy. Many people come to therapy because something feels heavy, stuck, or difficult to navigate alone. A consultation can help us explore whether working together feels like a good fit.
More FAQ
“No recovery from trauma is possible without attending to issues of safety, care for the self, reparative connections to other human beings, and a renewed faith in the universe. The therapist’s job is not just to be a witness to this process but to teach the client how.”
-Dr. Janina Fisher, Clinical Psychologist
